As a person who delights in creativity, Laura feels it is a natural choice to work with her hands as a jeweller. Laura graduated with honors from Kootenay School of the Arts jewellery program in 2007, as well as won first place in the bracelet category of the 2007 Jewelry Arts Awards international jewellery competition. Working with precious metals (silver, gold, copper) and gemstones, Laura is building her home-based studio business in Nelson, BC. Through her business, blackbird creations, Laura designs, creates and sells both limited production and original commissions.
